The government is moving forward with decisions aimed at facilitating transfers, such as electronic inheritance tax returns, and digitising the issuance of tax information and debt certificates.
Electronic submission of inheritance declarations and informal donations: No more visits to the tax office to submit the inheritance tax return for both immovable and movable assets. Within 2022 these declarations will be submitted electronically through the myProperty platform by the notary’s office. According to the plan, what will be electronically submitted includes:
1. Declarations concerning any case of imposition of donation tax or parental benefit for the acquisition of real estate or movable property, valuables, sums of money, etc., for which a notarial document is drawn up.
2. Overdue or amending statements.
3. Declarations with a request for deferment of taxation.
4. Declarations submitted for setting a donation contract due to death, as well as for the correction or renewal of the contract.
5. Declarations concerning properties outside the objective value taxation system.
6. Declarations with movable objects of any kind or cash, for which the taxpayer provides insurance proof or a letter of guarantee from a bank, in order to confirm the tax in installments.
7. Statements regarding amounts of money to the beneficiaries of the B’ and C’ category.
8. Declarations of donation of usufruct, which goes to the petty owner who is already subject to tax for the petty ownership and also acquires the usufruct, for which s/he is subject to tax for the remaining tithes of the value of the full ownership.
9. Digital notification. The proof of tax clearance can be issued to the taxpayer digitally through the “Digital Notification” application of the Taxisnet personalised information section, to which the taxpayer has access with his personal pass-codes. It is noted out that the proof of tax clearance, as it is posted in the above “Digital Notification” application, has the status of an original document.
